And You Were The Hunter

Ok, this hasn’t happened to me before. Basically, my EP that was coming out next month has accidentally become an album. It’s still called ‘And You Were The Hunter’ and follows on from my previous record that came out a few months back.

It’s a little different since it’s less of a live record and has layers of additional instruments. Because it’ll get a pressing (as well as the extra PR stuff that goes with these things), I’ve now pushed it back to a mid August release as well as alter the price slightly.

The good news for the people who already preordered it? They’ll still get it in June for no extra cost and will get a numbered handmade edition. Sound ok? I hope so because it’s done now.

Enjoy the sun

I roamed hills like a dragon,
And I was scared for a while.
Hopelessly in love with an idea,
Hopelessly in love with a woman.

And if memory serves me correctly,
I got drunk until I could not stand
And now I just have the ramblings of a mad man to keep me company

Todays adventures

So, after the daily trip to post cds at the tiny local post office, I made a few advancements on one of my books. I decided to shelve one of them for the time being as it had become and bit of a chore and uninspiring. But, with my children’s book—— all of sudden it came alive! I might post up a chapter here in a week or two if I’m happy with it. I use the phrase ‘children’s book’ in a fairly loose way. It has a girl. And a rabbit. Starts in a supermarket. Goes into an underworld place. Of sorts.

Still waiting for my art print to come back for the printers. And waiting for the rest of the funds to come together for the vinyl pressing of ‘We Were Animals’.

I’m also in the final recording stages of writing a piece of music for a friends book. Sophie and me from Her Name is Calla will be in Berlin in June performing it at the book launch. Can’t wait!
